Friday Prayers
The MSA organizes the weekly Jum’a Prayers at the University of Calgary campus. It is the most important point of contact between the MSA and students, and one of the main venues for Muslim students to meet on campus. Where? MacEwan Center. When? Fridays, at 12 PM and 1 PM. Changes in location would be announced.
Ramadan Iftars
Ramadan Iftars is a yearly MSA tradition where we bring together hundreds of brothers and sisters for breaking their fast at the end of our long days. It is one the greatest venues for new students on campus to meet-up and find new friends.
Dinners
We just love our dinners. May Allah bless them for us. MSA dinners are of our long living tradition of getting people together and saying thank you. Be prepared for loads of ethnic food and plenty of smiles.
Courses
Knowledge is the main reason we are on campus. To top it off, we like to add Islamic knowledge to the menu. Whether they’re on Dawah, manners, or Seerah, we organize courses and, with Allah’s help, we are successful at that.
Islamic Awareness Weeks
Trying to fulfill the ever living obligation of Dawah and striving to spread knowledge and understanding, we organize Islamic Awareness Weeks and other Dawah events throughout the year.
Fun Events
BBQs, hikes, sports tournaments, trips, and fun-nights are all entertainment oriented events that we hold throughout the year. And they are fun!
Educational Seminars
We organize and collaborate on events like lectures, interfaiths, and movie nights with the purpose being to spread education and knowledge.
