The MSA is the largest organization serving Muslim students in Calgary. It is the most important organization representing Islam and Muslims on the University of Calgary campus. Established in 1972, the MSA serves more than 300 new students each year with events, initiatives, and programs that are both relevant to the academic and Islamic context.
The purpose of the MSA is to serve and represent Muslim students and provide them with a fulfilling religious environment on campus; to serve and promote tolerance and understanding for the Islamic faith; and to help provide a fine academic and non-academic experience for both Muslim and non-Muslim students.
The MSA holds and organizes various Islamic, academic, and non-academic oriented programs and events to fulfill its purpose and serve both Islam and Muslim students. The organization collaborates with the local, provincial, national, and even international Islamic and non-Islamic organizations to provide interesting and attractive experiences for students and the community.
Our goal is to realize the true Islam by words, actions, and intentions, hoping that Allah will guide us through and accept our deeds.
